ESSH Code of Conduct
Integrity
Staff members are expected to demonstrate the highest standards of integrity and act
in good faith, with intellectual honesty and fairness, in all matters affecting their official
duties and the interests of ESSH.
Staff members are the face of ESSH, as such, they have a duty to represent ESSH with loyalty and
respect the confidentiality and good name of the Organization.
ESSH staff members are also expected to conduct themselves in a manner compatible with these
principles in their private affairs, as their behaviour may reflect on the image of ESSH and
the principles we stand for.
Accountability
Accountability is the obligation of every member of the Organization.
Employees will always be answerable for his/her actions and decisions, and to accept responsibility
for them.
Respect for the dignity, worth, equality, diversity and privacy of all persons
ESSH enjoys a rich, multicultural workplace characterized by a high level of professionalism and
diversity of individual backgrounds.
ESSH expects its staff members to always behave ethically and with utmost respect for each other
and external stakeholders, without regard to gender, race, religion, creed, colour, citizenship,
national origin, age, marital status, family responsibilities and choices, pregnancy, sexual
orientation, or disability.
All employees should respect their colleagues. We won’t allow any discriminatory behaviour,
harassment, or victimization.
Respect for company property and intellectual information
Employee will not misuse company equipment or use it frivolously.
Employees shall respect all kinds of incorporeal property. This includes trademarks, copyright and
other property (information, reports etc.)
Employees should use them only to complete their job duties.
Employees should protect company facilities and other material property (e.g. company cars) from
damage and vandalism, whenever possible.
All employees should treat company property, whether material or intangible, with respect and care.
Staff members working with data involving private information about others have a particular duty
to respect their privacy and ensure discreteness when handling and processing personal data
Personal appearance
All employees shall always dress in a professional manner and shall not wear any “CLUB WEAR” during
work or at the office.
Corruption
We discourage employees from accepting gifts from clients or partners. We prohibit briberies for
the benefit of any external or internal party.
Job duties and authority
All employees should fulfil their job duties with integrity and respect toward customers,
stakeholders, and the community. Supervisors and managers will delegate duties to their team
members considering their competences and workload. Likewise, we expect team members to follow team
leaders’ instructions and complete their duties with skill
and in a timely manner.
Conflict of interest
We expect employees to avoid any personal, financial, or other interests that might hinder their capability or willingness to perform their job duties.
Collaboration
Employees should be friendly and collaborative. They should try not to disrupt the workplace or present obstacles to
their colleagues’ work.
Communication
All employees must be open for communication with their colleagues, supervisors or team members.
Communication will always be respectful and when communicating we will communicate with respect and
dignity.
